REBECCA OVERSTREET

- Started riding in 2008

- Favorite discipline is hunt seat.

- Biggest accomplishment was participating in the Paradise Farms Hunter Trials, in Aiken SC with Lucerne Farm where I placed 2nd and 4th overall in my class.

- Her favorite thing about teaching lessons is being around others who love horses. She loves seeing the happiness horses bring to riders, especially when new techniques bring improvement in their overall riding.

From Rebecca:

"I have had a love for horses for as long as I can remember. My parents always told me it was just a phase, and would sign me up for summer camps growing up. As I got older, I found myself saving up all of my birthday and Christmas money for riding lessons. My parents finally gave in when I was in middle school and I began consistently taking English lessons as well as participating in a few small schooling shows.

Fast forward to the end of high school, during college, I took a break from riding to play tennis at Ferris State University in Michigan. When I moved to Savannah, GA in 2015 for work, I picked up riding again at a small farm. While there, I dabbled in dressage, got back into hunt seat, and was able to participate in a few shows before I tore my ACL in 2018.

In March 2021, I reached out to Hidden Springs to “get back on the horse” where I met Maddie and Michelle. I rode with Maddie as my coach for a few months, and now am pleased to say that I have the pleasure to teach lessons as part of the Hidden Springs crew!"
